3.7.1.2 Positioning the vibration sensors
Make sure the vibration sensors are firmly seated when
fastening them to the machine or bearing housing.
For balancing, it is preferable to install the vibration sensors
close to the bearing points. The measuring direction should
point radially to the axis of rotation.
Risk of entanglement or entrapment
When positioning the sensors, make sure
the cables are not caught in or on rotating parts.
Arrange the cables so that they cannot be pulled
in or entangled by rotating parts.
