5.5.2 Spread angle method – Sliding
weight calibration (3 weights)
 Observe safety instructions – Chapter 2.
Preparations A speed marker is attached to the rotor.
The speed sensor is set up.
Speed sensor and vibration sensor are con-
nected to the device.
 Make markings on the workpiece (grinding wheel)
at 0°, 60°, 120° and 240° for aligning the sliding
weights, increasing in the direction of rotation.
 Close safety devices.
Settings
 Basic menu \ Settings \ Pre-selection \ Method.
 Select “Spread angle with 3 weights”.
 Basic menu \ Balancing.
 The window “How do you want to measure?”
appears.
 Select the measuring function and press .
 Set the direction of rotation of the grinding
wheel (1) to “clockwise”.
 Set the direction of counting (2) to “clockwise”.
 Press the lower button (3).
