10.1 Performing vibration measurements
Select measurement locations close to the bearing points.
Vibration sensors may be mounted in any direction on the bear-
ing or machine housing. Do not place sensors on elastic parts
(e.g. covers), as measured values will be falsified.
For machines with a horizontal axis, measurements are usually
taken in horizontal and vertical directions.
