Evaluation - Performing vibration measurements EasyBalancer EB 3500
10 - 2
In the case of vertical shaft arrangement, arrange the sensors in
the direction of greatest elasticity, as the greatest vibration is to
be expected here.
Fig. 10-16: Measuring locations and directions for vertical shaft arrangement
as per [7]
It is advisable to also measure axial vibrations.
One measurement location is sufficient if it is known that
the greatest vibrations occur there.
Record the measuring locations, directions and type of sensors.
Mark the measuring points on the machine for repeat measurements
.
Attach sensors with magnetic feet so that they are well connected
to the measuring point and do not wobble.
If measuring points are not magnetic, screw or glue the sensors
in place.
For repeat or comparative measurements, use the same meas-
uring points and always measure with the same machine condi-
tions (speed, temperature, pressure, etc.).
Measure machine vibrations at regular intervals to detect in-
creasing vibrations.
