STARTING THE ENGINE (H type)

To restart a warm engine, align the
mark on the throttle grip
with the projected end of the
mark on the tiller handle.
When the engine is cold or
ambient temperature is low, turn
the throttle grip to align the
CHOKE position with the index
( ) mark for starting a cold
engine.
When the engine is cold or
ambient temperature is low, pull
the manual choke knob to the ON
position. (It provides rich fuel
mixture to the engine.)
To restart a warm engine, leave the
choke knob in the OFF position.
Move the shift lever to the
NEUTRAL position. The engine
does not start unless the shift lever
is set in the NEUTRAL position.
