Setting the drilling depth
The drilling depth is adjusted by adding or re-
moving aluminium clips at the hydraulic cylinders
of the seed bar.
The 󰘰ne tuning of adjustment possibilities must
be matched to the soil conditions and can thus
only be found in the 󰘰eld using operating position.
Hydraulic cylinders
The seed coulters are swivelled down when
lowering. The depth is adjusted with aluminium
clips on the hydraulic cylinders.
The resulting pressure is transferred to coulters
and press roller via the rubber elements.

Coulter pressure
The harder the soil and the deeper the seed is
to be placed, the higher the required pressure.
Displacing too much pressure on the coulters will
just have the opposite e󰘯ect. The pressure rolls
will slightly lift the frame or the pressure rolls will
submerge in the soil and are no longer able to
guarantee an exact depth guidance.
¾ The coulter pressure can be increased by
backing out the screw adjustment.
¾ For adjustment loosen the handle, fold it into
the guide and secure it with a cotter pin.
¾ Pay attention to the engraved adjusting scale.
¾ Adjust all spindles uniformly.

Correlation
The settings on the hydraulic cylinder and the
coulter pressure adjustment complement and
e󰘯ect one another:
Changes to the hydraulic cylinder mainly e󰘯ect
the drilling depth, but also the coulter pressure
and the press rollers.
Changes to the coulter pressure adjustment
mainly e󰘯ect coulters and press rollers, but also
have an in󰘱uence on the drilling depth.
With each alteration one must therefore
check the drilling depth and the e󰘯ect of
the press rollers on consolidation and
depth guidance.
Setting the depth
It is highly recommended to 󰘰nd the correct set-
ting by trying and testing.
¾ Turn the coulter pressure adjustment back to
a low pressure.
¾ Insert the same quantity and colour combi-
nation of aluminium clips on the hydraulic
cylinders.
¾ In work position lower the machine onto he
aluminium clips.
Then switch the control unit to locked
position.
¾ Drive a few meters in the 󰘰eld, check the
submersion depth of the coulters and the
consolidation caused by the press rollers,
re-adjust if necessary.
If the desired adjustment cannot be found
within the coulter pressure adjustment range,
the process must be repeated using the next
lower setting on the hydraulic cylinder, until the
correct setting is found.
