Air ow
Inside the distributor pipe the air 󰘱ow from the
fan is divided for seed and fertiliser systems.
Under normal conditions the distributor valve
is 󰘰xed in middle position. In case of signi󰘰cant
di󰘯erences of output quantities, e.g. with rape
and fertiliser, it may be necessary to guide a
higher air quantity to the placement of fertiliser.
Distributor valve
Empirical values
Wheat and fertiliser:
Distribution valve in middle position
Fan speed 4000 - 4500 rpm
Rape and fertiliser:
Slightly throttle the air 󰘱ow for rape. Adjust the
valve by one hole in direction “9”.
Fan speed 4000 rpm
Rape:
Adjust the valve in direction “1” against the
stop.
Fan speed 3000 rpm
All data are recommended guide values.
Strictly check the seed and fertiliser
placement.
Determine fan speed and valve
position
For the 󰘰rst drilling incident or a new seed/fertiliser
combination it is recommended to run a test place-
ment before starting drilling. This is necessary to
determine the required fan speed, to achieve cor-
rect transverse distribution.
The simulation speed is used to place the de-
sired amount of seed and fertiliser on a level
surface. For this reason one must pay attention
to the operating instructions for E-Manager.
The work signal can be switched via additional
Clips in the height adjustment, or by disconnect-
ing the plug from the pressure sensor.
Several test placements with different fan
speeds and air valve settings may probably be
necessary.
For an accurate evaluation of the results it is
recommended to catch and weigh the quantities
at the individual coulters.
Use in the eld
¾ In the 󰘰eld operate the tractor link arm hydrau-
lics in position control mode.
Working speed
The speed depends on 󰘰eld conditions, soil
type, harvest residues, seed, seed quantity and
other factors.
Operate somewhat slower under di󰘲cult
conditions!
Headland
¾ When drilling reduce the seed just before lift-
ing out the machine.
Otherwise the fan power would be excessively
reduced and the hoses might get blocked.
¾ Raise the machine during transport.
¾ After turning position the machine approx. 2-5 m
in front of the seed bed with appropriate fan
speed.
The seed requires some time to 󰘱ow from the
metering unit to the coulters.
The working switch only releases the signal af-
ter the machine has been lowered completely.
