As shown in the following illustration:
• SAS ports: Eight per switch. Labeled 1–8 from left to right on the front of the switch. Use these
SAS ports to connect external SAS storage enclosures and tape devices.
P2000 G3 SAS MSA Array controller enclosure port information
As shown in the following illustration:
• SAS host ports: Four per controller. Labeled SAS 1, SAS 2, SAS 3, and SAS 4. Use these SAS
host ports to connect to the hosts (switch).
When two controllers are installed in the enclosure, the controllers are referred to as follows:
◦ Top controller=Controller A, with host ports referred to as A1, A2, A3, and A4
◦ Bottom controller=Controller B, with host ports referred to as B1, B2, B3, and B4
• SAS expansion port: One per controller. Use this SAS expansion port to connect (cascade)
additional P2000 drive enclosures.
