The cabling is the same for both backplanes. In the following illustration, the 2SFF rear cage
backplane is shown.
14. Install the fan cage.
15. Install the air baffle (on page 33).
16. Install the access panel (on page 28).
17. Install the server into the rack ("Installing the server into the rack" on page 39).
18. Connect each power cord to the server.
19. Connect each power cord to the power source.
20. Power up the server ("Powering up the server" on page 26).
Rear serial port option
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 26).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 26).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 27).
4. Remove the access panel (on page 27).
