Removal and Replacement Procedures
To replace the lithium battery on the system board:
1. Complete the preparation procedures. Refer to “Preparation Procedures” in this chapter.
2. Remove the access panel. Refer to “Access Panel” in this chapter.
3. Locate the battery on the system board.
NOTE: If you have expansion boards installed, it may be necessary to remove them to gain access to
the battery.
4. Press outward on the latch at the top of the battery holder to release the battery (1), and
then lift the battery away from the holder (2).
