To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays are populated with either a
component or a blank.
ProcedureProcedure
1. Back up all server data.
2. If installed, remove the front bezel .
3. Power down the server.
4. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
5. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
6. Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack .
Remove the server from the rack .
