6.5.3. IVCK test with remote unit
Irradiance and temperature measurements (if the instrument is set to temperature
measurement mode "Meas.") using a SOLAR03 remote unit connected to the device
via Bluetooth are recommended when irradiance conditions are unstable or when a
comparison with the nominal values of the module declared by the manufacturer is
required.
• The maximum voltage between the P1, C1, P2 and C2 inputs is 1500VDC.
Do not measure voltages exceeding the limits given in this manual.
• Do not perform tests on PV modules or strings connected to the DC/AC
converter.
• The maximum current measured by the instrument is 40A.
• Standard IEC/EN62446-1 requires that measurements are performed string
by string. Even if the instrument is designed to handle inrush current for
single strings or strings connected in parallel, we recommend testing one
string at a time in accordance with the standard.
The instrument can operate combined with remote unit SOLAR03 in one of the following
modes:
1. Presence of remote unit SOLAR03 active and connected → the instrument directly
provides the results of measurements @STC
2. Presence of remote unit SOLAR03 active, connected and recording: the
instrument directly provides the results of measurements @STC
Modes 1 and 2 are basically the same in case the instrument and the remote unit
SOLAR03 are directly connected.
3. Presence of an active SOLAR03 remote unit, in recording mode, NOT connected
→ the instrument provides the results of @OPC measurements with no outcome, then
automatically and simultaneously converts them to @STC only after data have been
transferred from the remote unit at the end of the recording and at the next
connection.
