Allow Installation of Third-Party Programs
By default, you can install only programs and games downloaded from Google Play.
To install third-party programs on the phone:
Open the Notifications panel, and then touch > Security. Select the Unknown
sources option.
App Association
You can set which app opens when you tap an item such as a phone number or email address
while reading a message, viewing a Web page, and more.
1. Open the Notifications panel, and then touch > App associations.
2. For each item type, select the app you want to open.
Storage Settings
The storage settings menu lets you view and manage the phone storage.
Types of Storage
Your phone uses these storage types.
App storage. This is the internal storage where apps, email, data, and text messages
are stored. When you are running out of phone storage, you can free up space by
uninstalling apps or changing download settings.
Phone storage. This is the file storage where photos, videos, and music files are kept.
When you are running out of phone storage, you can free up space by moving files to
your computer or to an online storage service.
SD card. If you installed a microSD card, you can store your files such as photos, music,
and videos to this removable storage. When you connect your phone to your computer,
this storage is accessible and you can copy files between them. See microSD Card for
more information.
USB storage. When you plug in an external USB storage device (such as a USB flash
drive or an SD card reader), you can view photos and videos stored on the device right
from Gallery and play songs stored on the device in Music. You can also open PDFs and
edit Office documents. You need a special cable to connect your phone and a USB
storage device. Your phone supports USB storage devices (except portable hard drives)
up to 64 GB.
Online storage. If youre using an online storage account thats accessible from your
phone, you can store your files to your online storage.
