5 Optional Part Installation
NOTE
l Before performing operations in this chapter, make sure that optional parts to be installed are
available and compatible. Use the Huawei Server Compatibility Checker to check parts
compatibility.
l After parts replacement, upgrade the software, firmware, and CPLDs of the new components to
either the version in the customer environment (recommended) or to the latest version. For details,
see the Huawei Rack Server Upgrade Guide (iBMC) and Huawei Server Firmware Upgrade
Guide.
l After parts replacement, restore component configurations (including BMC, BIOS, and RAID) on
the customer live network.
