Step 10 Align the connector on the RAID controller card with the port on the mainboard, and insert
the RAID controller card slowly into the mainboard. See (1) in Figure 5-34.

Step 11 Tighten the screws on the RAID controller card. See (2) in Figure 5-34.
Step 12 Connect cables to the RAID controller card. For details, see 7 Internal Cabling.
Step 13 Install the chassis cover. For details, see 3.5 Installing the Chassis Cover.
Step 14 Install the server. For details, see 4.4 Installing the Server on Guide Rails.
Step 15 Connect the power cables. For details, see 5.4 PSU.
Step 16 Power on the server. For details, see 3.1 Powering On the Server.
Step 17 Log in to the iBMC WebUI, and check whether the new component is normal. For details, see
the Huawei Rack Server iBMC User Guide.
Step 18 To configure the RAID controller card in EFI/UEFI mode, upgrade the firmware. For the LSI
SAS3008 RAID controller card, upgrade the firmware to V109 or later; for the LSI SAS3108
RAID controller card, upgrade the firmware to V110 or later. For details, see the Huawei
Server Firmware Upgrade Guide.
