5.5 Configuring Switch Modules
This section describes how to configure the switch modules on a local PC to implement
module switching functionality.
Configuration Process
Step 1 Check the switch modules.
l View the indicators on the panel and verify that the switch module status is normal.
l Query the switch module versions and verify that the versions are the required ones.
l Confirm the mapping between the ports of the switch modules and those of the compute
nodes, storage nodes, and management modules in the chassis.
Step 2 Change the initial password.
Change the initial password of the default user after the first login to the switch modules to
improve the system O&M security.
Step 3 Configure data.
l Configure IP addresses for management network ports on the switch modules.
l Configure the common features for the switch modules, including the VLANs, Ethernet
attributes, link aggregation, SNMP, and Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP).
