3.3 Removing Components
This section describes how to remove fan modules, PSUs, management modules, switch
modules, and pass-through modules from the E9000 chassis before installing the chassis.
Scenarios
If no chassis moving tool (such as an elevating ladder) is available, remove the fan modules,
PSUs, management modules, switch modules, and pass-through modules from the E9000
chassis before installing the chassis. Place the removed modules in ESD bags or on an ESD
floor without stacking them. When all these modules are installed in the E9000 chassis, the
total weight is around 100 kg (220.5 lb), which exceeds the allowed maximum weight (68 kg
or 149.94 lb) carried by four persons.
If a chassis moving tool is available, move the chassis without removing the components.
However, you must remove the components before installing the chassis.
The allowed maximum weight must comply with local laws and regulations.
Workflow
Users do not need to strictly follow the workflow.
