Step 4 Check whether the expansion module versions match the existing module versions. For
details, see the version mapping information on the Software Download tab page.
l If yes, go to Step 5.
l If no, upgrade the software of the expansion modules based on the version mapping
information. For details, see the E9000 Server V100R001 Upgrade Guide. To obtain the
software upgrade packages, choose Support > Intelligent Servers > Blade Servers >
E9000 Chassis, and click the Software Download tab. Go to Step 5 after the upgrade is
complete.
Step 5 Configure the expansion modules. For details, see "Configuring the CHxxx" in the CHxxx
Compute Node User Guide or "Configuring the CXxxx" in the CXxxx Switch Module User
Guide.
Step 6 Configure the networking between the compute node NICs and switch modules by referring
to the E9000 Blade Server Mezzanine Module-Switch Module Interface Mapping Tool
and site requirements.

8.3 Adding Components of Compute Nodes
Add the components of E9000 compute nodes, including CPUs, DIMMs, hard disks, and
mezzanine cards.

powered off.
