2. Horizontally pull out the fan module from the chassis. See (2) in Figure 6-45.
Each ESD bag should hold only one fan module.
3. Place the removed fan module into an ESD bag.
Step 3 Install a new fan module.
1. Align the fan module with the slot, and make sure that the indicators on the module are
on the same side as those shown in the identifier on the air baffle.

2. Horizontally insert the fan module into the chassis until the fan module snaps into the
chassis, as shown in Figure 6-47.
