USING THE TABLET
Workshop Tools
To perform battery reset OBD service (Audi / Volkswagen):
1. Select Battery Initialization on Workshop Tools screen.
n The Battery Reset OBD Service displays.
2. Select Battery Reset OBD Service, then press OK.
n An “informational” screen display.
3. Choose Next to continue.
n A series of “instructional” screens display, directing you to enter reference information for the battery
(part number, manufacturer, serial number).
4. Choose Next as necessary to scroll the screen and enter the necessary information.
n A “conrmation” screen displays.
n The screen shows the previously entered Battery Part Number, Battery Manufacturer and Battery
Serial Number.
5. Select the desired option:
n To proceed with coding, select Carry Out Coding and press OK. Proceed to step 6.
n To re-enter battery reference information, select Repeat Input and press OK. Repeat steps 3 and 4.
n To cancel the battery reset process, select Cancel and press OK.
6. If battery coding was successful, a “conrmation” screen displays. Choose Back to return to the Workshop
Tools screen.
n If battery coding was not successful, an “advisory” screen display. Choose Exit to return to the
Workshop Tools screen.
TPMS Relearn
Use this to initialize/ relearn the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, or TPMS, and turn off a TPMS light/ message on the
dashboard. Also, use this function to write the ID of new sensor to the control module whenever the TPMS sensor is
replaced.
1. From the Workshop Tools screen, select TPMS Relearn, then press OK.
n The TPMS Relearn Menu displays.
NOTE: If the TPMS Relearn is not supported by the vehicle under test, an “advisory”
message display. Choose Back to return to the Workshop Tools screen.
2. To view TPMS Relearn Procedures, select TPMS Relearn Procedures, then press OK.
n The TPMS Relearn Procedures displays.
n If the TPMS Relearn Procedures is not available, an advisory message shows.
3. To perform TPMS Relearn OBD, select TPMS Relearn OBD, then press OK.
n A “One moment please…” message may display.
n One or more sub-menus will be displayed. Select the desired options, then proceed to step 4.
