Chapter 12—Troubleshooting
Description:
No “Out of ribbon” detection
Possible Cause of Problem and Suggested Measures:
• No silver-colored ribbon trailer.
- e ribbon end sensor can only detect out-of-ribbon conditions if the
emitted light is reflected back by a silver-colored section at the end of
the ribbon.
• Ribbon end sensor out of order.
- Check for foreign objects that can block the light beam and for bad
connections. Replace if necessary.
