6.6 Operation
CAUTION
Danger of crushing due to unintentional starting of the RollerDrive
➢ Before switching on the power supply, make sure that there are no persons in the
danger areas of the conveyor system.
If the MultiControl acts as an I / O device, it cannot automatically start or stop
motors or perform other actions. It requires commands from a higher-level controller,
e.g. a PLC.
Check before every start up
➢ Check all MultiControl for visible damage.
➢ Check all safety devices.
➢ Ensure that no RollerDrive connected to the MultiControl is blocked.
➢ Specify and monitor the laying of the conveyed material exactly.
Observe environmental conditions during operation (see "Technical Data", page 13)
Start
➢ Ensure that the ambient conditions are observed during operation (see "Technical Data",
page 13).
➢ Switch on the power supply.
➢ Send the corresponding signal to the MultiControl.
Stop
The conveying process stops in the following cases:
• If the power supply is switched off
• If no signal is present for start
• If an error from a corresponding error class is present (see "Error Settings", page 36)
