30.1 Maximum permitted gross weight
of bike
The maximum permitted gross weight of the bike compris-
es the weight of the bike, the weight of the rider and the
weight of the luggage. It also includes the laden weight of
a trailer.

The maximum permitted gross weights of carbon ames
also apply for aluminium ames.
If other gross weights are approved, for lightweight con-
struction components for example, this will be indicated
on the bike or component.
