GATE SECTION
The Gate section of the channel strip is home to the noise gate parameters.
Each of the 8 input channels (and the main output bus) have their own
noise gate available for shaping your sounds.
BYPASS BUTTON
The bypass button enables or disables the gate.
Clicking the button will toggle the state of the bypass.
The button will light up orange when enabled (gate on).
The button will go dark when disabled (gate bypassed).
THRESHOLD KNOB & NUMBER BOX
The threshold knob controls the volume level at which the gate will
engage.
Turn clockwise to increase (higher threshold); turn
counterclockwise to decrease (lower threshold).
A specic value may be entered into the accompanying number box as an alternative way
of setting the threshold.
Range: -70dB – +10dB
When the effect is enabled, any audio below the threshold will cause the gate to engage.
GAIN REDUCTION KNOB & NUMBER BOX
The gain reduction knob controls how much the gate will reduce the audio when the effect is
engaged.
Turn clockwise to increase (more gain reduction); turn counterclockwise to decrease (less
gain reduction).
A specic value may be entered into the accompanying number box as an alternative way
of setting the threshold.
Range: -70dB – 0dB
