[SENSe:]{RESistance|FRESistance}:RANGe:AUTO? [(@<ch_list>)]
Enables or disables autoranging for 2-wire and 4-wire resistance measurements. Autoranging is convenient
because the instrument automatically selects the range for each measurement based on the input signal detected.
Parameter is shared between RESistance and FRESistance measurements. Setting or querying the parameter
with the RESistance version of this command is identical to setting or querying it with the FRESistance ver-
sion.
This command is not supported in DMM Digitize data acquisition mode.
Error -221,"Settings conflict; DMM digitizing mode has been disabled" will be generated when you send the
command to enable autoranging for 2-wire or 4-wire resistance measurement in DMM Digitize mode.
Parameter Typical return
{OFF | ON}. Default: ON 0 (OFF) or 1 (ON)
Configure 2-wire resistance measurements, and turn autorange on:
CONF:RES
RES:RANG:AUTOON
– Autorange thresholds:
Down range at: <10% of range
Up range at:>120% of range.
– Selecting a fixed range (see [SENSe:]{RESistance|FRESistance}:RANGe command) disables autoranging.
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
