– The CONFigure, MEASure?, and [SENSe:]STRain:NPLCycles commands automatically disable the aperture time
mode, and select an integration time in number of power line cycles.
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
[SENSe:]STRain:OCOMpensated {OFF | ON} [, (@<ch_list>)]
[SENSe:]STRain:OCOMpensated? [(@<ch_list>)]
This command is not supported in DMM Digitize data acquisition mode.
Error -221,"Settings conflict; DMM digitizing mode has been disabled" will be generated when you send the
command to enable offset compensation for strain measurement in DMM Digitize mode.
Enables or disables offset compensation. Offset compensation removes the effects of small DC voltages in the circuit
being measured. The technique involves taking the difference between two resistance measurements, one with the
current source set to the normal value, and one with the current source set to a lower value. Enabling offset com-
pensation approximately doubles the reading time.
Parameter Typical return
{OFF | ON}. Default: OFF 0 (OFF) or 1 (ON)
– For 4-wire resistance measurements, the instrument automatically pairs channel n in Bank 1 with channel n+10
in Bank 2 (DAQM900A or DAQM901A) or n+8 (DAQM902A) to provide the source and sense connections. For
example, make the source connections to the HI and LO terminals on channel 02 in Bank 1 and the sense con-
nections to the HI and LO terminals on channel 12 (DAQM900Aor DAQM901A) or 10 (DAQM902A) in Bank
2.Specify the paired channel in Bank 1 (source) as the <ch_list> channel (paired channels in Bank 2 are not
allowed in the <ch_list>).
– The CONFigure and MEASure? commands automatically disable offset compensation.
– Applies only to resistance measurements on the 100 Ω, 1kΩ, 10 kΩ, and 100 kΩ ranges.
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
