t analysis
To configure and run an I²t analysis:
1. Press [Analyze] > Analysis > I²t.
2. Press Current Source and select the current channel to measure.
3. Press [Expected Peak] and specify the peak current value. The instrument uses this value to
select the current measurement range and vertical resolution.
4. Press Inrush Trigger and specify the current level at which the analysis will begin. You may
want to set this close to the expected peak to avoid falsely triggering on a small transient of
current. You can always move the first cursor to the left after running the test, if necessary.
5. Press Acq Time and specify the duration of the analysis. It is better to set this a bit too long,
rather than too short.
6. Press Start and follow the on-screen instructions. These instructions will tell you to turn off
the power supply, press Next, turn on the power supply, and press Next again. The screen
will display the result, using a default distance between the cursors as shown below.
