Reference Waveforms
Voltage, current, power, and math waveforms can be saved to four nonvolatile reference
waveform locations, or to a USB drive. You can display one reference waveform at a time and
compare it against other waveforms. To scale and position the displayed reference waveform,
press [Ref] to light the LED to its left and use the knobs above and below the [Ref] key. You can
also adjust waveform skew, and you can optionally display scale, offset, and skew information.
To save a reference waveform
1. Press [Ref] >îDisplay Ref. Turn the Entry knob to select a reference waveform location.
Then, either push the [Entry] knob or press Display Ref again.
2. Press Source and turn the [Entry] knob to select the source waveform.
3. Press Save to R1/R2/R3/R4 to save the waveform.
To clear a reference waveform
1. Press [Ref] >îDisplay Ref. Turn the Entry knob to select a reference waveform location.
2. Press Clear R1/R2/R3/R4.
Reference waveforms are also cleared by a Factory Default.
To display a reference waveform and associated information
1. Press [Ref] >îDisplay Ref. Turn the Entry knob to select a reference waveform location.
2. Press [Ref] to enable/disable the reference waveform display.
3. Press [Ref]î>îDisplay Info to display a box summarizing the reference waveforms.
To scale and offset a reference waveform
1. Make sure the scale and position knobs above and below the [Ref] key are selected for the
reference waveform. If the arrow to the left of the [Ref] key is not illuminated, press [Ref].
2.
