Driving your vehicle Lane Following Assist (LFA)
Warning message
Keep hands on steering wheel
If the driver takes their hands off
the steering wheel for several sec
-
onds whilst Lane Following Assist is
activated, the function will warn the
driver.
NOTICE
If the steering wheel is held very
lightly the message may still appear
because Lane Following Assist may
not recognize that the driver has
their hands on the wheel.
WARNING
The warning message may appear
late according to road conditions.
Therefore, always have your hands
on the steering wheel whilst driving.
If the driver still does not have their
hands on the steering wheel after
the message "Keep hands on steer
-
ing wheel", the function will not con
-
trol the steering wheel and warn
the driver only when the driver
crosses the lane markers.
However, if the driver has their
hands on the steering wheel again,
the function will start controlling
the steering wheel.
WARNING
䳜 The driver is responsible for accu
-
rate steering.
䳜 Turn off the function and drive
the vehicle in following situations.
- In bad weather
- In bad road condition
- When the steering wheel needs
to be controlled by the driver
frequently.
NOTICE
䳜 Even though the steering is
assisted by the function, the
driver may control the steering
wheel.
䳜 The steering wheel may feel
heavier or lighter when the func

tion wheel is assisted by the
function than when it is not.
