view camera only)
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
malfunction
Check Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist system
䳜 When Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist is not working properly,
Forward Safety warning light
( ) will illuminate and the
warning message will appear for a
few seconds. After the message
disappears, the master warning
light ( ) will illuminate. In this
case, we recommend that you
have the vehicle inspected by an
authorised Kia dealer/service
partner.
䳜 Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist warning message may
appear along with the illumination
of the ESC (Electronic Stability
Control) warning light.
Both Forward Safety warning
light and warning message will
disappear once the ESC warning
light issue is resolved.
䳜 Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist is only a supplemental
function for the driver's conve

stop the vehicle.
䳜 In certain instances and under
certain driving conditions,
Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist may activate unintention

ally. This initial warning message
appears on the LCD display with a
warning chime. Also, in certain
instances the front view camera
recognition function may not
detect the vehicle or pedestrian
ahead. Forward Collision-
Avoidance Assist may not activate
and the warning message will not
be displayed.
䳜 Even if there is any problem with
the brake control function of
Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist, the vehicle's basic braking
performance will operate nor

function for avoiding collision will
not activate.
䳜 If the vehicle in front stops sud
