Theinstallationshipyardmustprovideallnecessarydesignandinstallationdrawings,as
wellastherelevantworkstandardsandmountingprocedures.
Note
Ifrequired,alldocumentsprovidedbytheshipyardforthephysicalinstallationofthe
EA440mustbeapprovedbythevessel’ snationalregistryandcorrespondingmaritime
authorityand/orclassicationsociety.Suchapprovalmustbeobtainedbeforethe
installationcanbegin.Theshipownerandshipyarddoingtheinstallationareresponsible
forobtainingandpayingforsuchapproval.
KongsbergMaritimeoffersfreeadviceforinstallationplanning.Proposedarrangements
maybesentforcommentaryorsuggestions.Thefollowingdrawingsshouldbe
submittedshouldassistanceberequested:
•Generalarrangement
•Bodyplananddrawingsoftherelevantcompartment
•Linesplan
Tools,equipmentandconsumablesrequired
forEA440installation
InordertodotheEA440installation,allnecessarytoolsandequipmentformechanical
work,cabinetinstallationandelectricalwiringmustbeavailable.
Itisnotpracticaltoprovideadetailedlistofallnecessarytoolsandequipment.Youmust
beequippedwithastandardsetoftools.Thistoolsetmustcomprisethenormaltools
forelectronicandelectromechanicaltasks.Thisincludesdifferentscrewdrivertypes,
pliers,spanners,acablestripper,asolderingiron,etc.Eachtoolmustbeprovidedin
varioussizes.Werecommendthatalltoolsaredemagnetizedtoprotectyourequipment.
However,youmustmakesurethatthefollowingspecializedtoolsareavailable.
