lotofairtofollowtheshapeofthehull.
Theupperwaterlayersoftheseacontainamyriadofsmallairbubblescreatedbythe
breakingwaves.Inheavyseastheupper5to10metresmaybelledwithair,andthe
highestconcentrationswillbenearthesurface.Airbubblesabsorbandreectthesound
energy,andtheymayinworstcasesblockthesoundtransmissionaltogether.
