Whenasystem,aunitoraspareparthasbeendeliveredtothecustomer,itmaybe
subjecttolongtimestoragepriortoinstallationanduse.
Generalspecications
Duringthisstorageperiod,certainspecicationsmustbemet.Theequipmentmustbe
preservedandstoredinsuchawaythatitdoesnotconstituteanydangertohealth,
environmentorpersonalinjury.
1Theequipmentmustbestoredinitsoriginaltransportationbox.
2Ensurethattheunitsareclearlyseparatedintheshelvesandthateachunitis
easilyidentiable.
3Theboxmustnotbeusedforanypurposeforwhichitwasnotintended(work
platform,steps,tableetc.).
4Boxesmustnotbeplacedontopofeachother,unlessspecicmarkingspermitthis.
5Boxesmustnotbeplaceddirectlyonadirtoor.
6Donotopenaboxforinspectionunlessspecialcircumstancespermitso.
“Specialcircumstances”maybesuspecteddamagetotheboxanditscontent,or
inspectionsbycivilauthorities.
aIfaunitisdamaged,prepareaninspectionreportstatingtheconditionofthe
unitandtheactionstaken.Describethedamageandcollectphotographic
evidenceifpossible.Re-preservetheequipment.
bIftheunitisnotdamaged,checkthehumidityabsorbingmaterial.Ifrequired,
dryorreplacethebags,thenre-packtheunitaccordingtothepacking
instructions.
7Ifaboxhasbeenopened,makesurethatisitclosedandsealedaftertheinspection.
Usetheoriginalpackingmaterialasfaraspossible.
8Thestorageroom/areamustbedrywithanon-condensingatmosphere.Itmust
befreefromcorrosiveagents.
9Thestorageroom/area’smeantemperaturemustnotbelowerthan-10°C,and
notwarmerthan+50°C.Ifotherlimitationsapply,thecrateswillbemarked
accordingly.
10Boxesmustnotbeexposedtomoisturefromuidleakages.
11Boxesmustnotbeexposedtodirectsunlightorexcessivewarmthfromheaters.
12Boxesmustnotbesubjectedtoexcessiveshockandvibration.
13Iftheunitcontainedinaboxholdsnormalbatteries,thesemayhavebeen
disconnected/isolatedbeforetheunitwaspacked.Thesemustonlybereconnected
beforetheinstallationstarts.Unitscontainingbatteriesaremarked.
