InstallingtheWBTusingtheintegrated
brackets
TheEA440WBTisnormallypositionedinadedicatedroominthevicinityofthe
transducer.Thephysicallengthofthecablelimitsthedistancebetweenthetransducer
andtheWBT.TheWBTcanbeinstalledverticallyorhorizontallyusingtheintegrated
mountingbrackets.Fourboltsareused,twooneachside.
Prerequisites
AsuitablelocationfortheWBTmustbedenedprior
toinstallation.Werecommendthatitismountedas
closetothetransducersaspossible.Theunitcanin
principlebemountedanywhereonboardtheship,
providedthatthelocationisdryandventilated.
Thelengthofthetransducercableslimitswherethe
WBTcanbeinstalled.
Theunitcanbemountedinanydirectionandonanysurfaceprovidedthatthe
environmentalrequirementsaremet.
Note
IfyoumounttheWBTonabulkhead,positiontheunitsothatalltheconnectionsare
facingdown
.
Procedure
1PlacetheWBTintheselectedposition.
2Securetheunitusingfour5mmbolts.
Makesurethecableconnectionsarefacingdowniftheunitisinstalledona
bulkheadorwall.
3Connectthecables.
Note
Whenyouconnectthecables,makesurethattheyareallproperlysecured,andable
towithstandthevibrationandmovementsofthevessel.
