Device and system description
Ripple control receiver / smart meter
As of a certain system size, which may vary from one
country to the next, use of a ripple control receiver is
mandatory. In some instances, the energy provider also
requires a smart meter to be installed.
Contact your energy provider for more information.
If a Smart Meter Gateway is fitted in your house installa-
tion, the inverter can be connected to the Smart Meter
Gateway using a control box. The control box is con-
nected to the inverter like a ripple control receiver.

Self-consumption control
To make the best possible use of the PV energy gener-
ated, self-consumption should be prioritised. To do this,
the inverter allows consumers to be connected to it via
an external relay. The consumers can then be switched
on when there is sucient PV power and thereby access
the PV energy generated at that point in time.
