Installation
Solar module connections
Note the following before connecting the DC plugs:
n
In order to ensure an optimal layout of the solar
modules and the highest possible yields, the system
should be designed within the voltage range between
U
MPPmin
and U
MPPmax
. KOSTAL Solar Plan should be
used as a planning tool here.
n
Check for the correct planning and wiring of the
modules and then measure the DC idling voltage.
n
Please ensure that the maximum permitted DC idling
voltage is not exceeded. Log these measuring values
and make them available in the event of complaints.
n
If the output of the solar modules is higher than that
specified in the technical data, it must be ensured
that the working point is still within the MPP voltage
range of the inverter.
n
The solar module types used should be in the same
PV string. This avoids loss of earnings.
Failure to do so will make any manufacturer's warranty,
guarantee or liability null and void unless you can prove
that the damage was not due to non-compliance.
WARNING
RISK OF FIRE DUE TO IMPROPER
INSTALLATION!
Incorrectly fitted plugs and sockets
may heat up and cause a fire. Dur-
ing installation, be sure to follow
the manufacturer's requirements
and manual. Properly mount plugs
and sockets.
WARNING
SERIOUS BURNS DUE TO ARCS
ON THE DC SIDE!
DC cables must never be connect-
ed to or disconnected from the
device during operation, as danger-
ous arcs may form. De- energise DC
side, then mount or remove plug
connector!
WARNING
INJURIES CAN RESULT FROM DE-
STRUCTION OF THE DEVICE!
When the maximum values for the
permitted input voltage at the DC
inputs are exceeded, this can result
in serious damage, which may de-
stroy the device and cause serious
injury to any person
present. Even
briefly exceeding the voltage can
cause damage to the
device.
