Device and system description
Energy management system
Fig. 14: Control and distribution of the energy flows
1
PV energy:
- Generate PV energy
- Consumption via local consumers
- To charge the battery
- Feed-in into the public grid
2
Grid energy:
- Procurement of grid energy
- Feed-in of PV energy
3
Battery energy:
- Coverage from battery energy
- Charge the battery
The energy management system (EMS) controls the
distribution of the energy between the DC side (PV
generator) and the AC side (building grid, public grid).
For this purpose, the EMS checks for the presence of
consumption in the internal home network. The logic of
the EMS then calculates and controls the optimal usage
of PV energy. Priority is given to use by self-consumers
of the PV energy generated. The remaining generated PV
energy is fed into the grid and remunerated.
