Recording home consumption
Connecting up an external energy meter (via
Modbus RTU) enables the inverter to monitor the flow of
energy in the home for 24 hours and to control it in an
optimum manner.
The generated PV energy is primarily used for consum-
ers (such as light, washing machine or television). The
energy generated above and beyond this can be stored
temporarily in battery storage or fed into the public
grid.

For battery storage to be connected
to the inverter, DC input 3 must be
released for battery use. To do this,
an activation code must be entered in
the inverter. The activation code can
be purchased from the KOSTAL Solar
online shop.
