► Insert the fixed end of the transverse
beam on one side of the vehicle into
the longitudinal beams.
► Lift the transverse beams to the height
of the opposite longitudinal beam.
► Lift up the locking lever on the tele-
scopic end of the transverse beam.
► Pull out the insert on the telescopic
end of the transverse beam.
► Using slight pressure, attach the tele-
scopic end of the transverse beam into
the hole pattern of the longitudinal
beam.

► Allow the locking lever to automatically
engage.
ü The transverse beams are fastened.

The locking lever locks independently due
to its own weight. The transverse beams
must be perpendicular to the longitudinal
beams. The transverse beam must be at-
tached to the keyholes. The telescopic ex-
tension has a latch system to withstand
the transverse forces experienced when
cornering. If they are not used, the trans-
verse beams can be parked between the
posts.
Removing the transverse beam

► Lift up the locking lever.
► Lift up the telescopic end of the trans-
verse beam.
► Slide the insert on the telescopic end
of the transverse beam into the trans-
verse beam.
► Lift up the fixed end of the transverse
beam.
► Remove the transverse beam.
ü The transverse beam has been re-
moved.
Fastening the transverse beams
between posts
Fastening the transverse beams between
the posts is identical to fastening the trans-
verse beams between the longitudinal
beams.
6.2.11.4 Moving the lath sockets for
plug-in laths
Depending on the version, KRONE trailers
with a double-deck superstructure can be
equipped with adjustable lath sockets.
