Activating the emergency release
device for the parking brake

1 Emergency release screw
2 Retainer nut
3 Flat washer

► Use wheel chocks to prevent the trailer
from rolling away (see "5.1 Using wheel
chocks", pg.24).
► Loosen the retainer nut and flat
washer.
► Remove the emergency release screw
from the holder.
► Open the cap.

► Insert the emergency release screw.
► Turn the emergency release screw
clockwise (90°) until it engages.
► Screw the retainer nut and flat washer
onto the emergency release screw.
► Tighten the retainer nut with the suit-
able spanner until the stop.
ü The spring storage is mechanically
tensioned and the brake cylinder has
no more braking effect.
► Activate the emergency release device
on all the spring storage devices.
ü The emergency release device is ac-
tivated and the service and parking
brakes are without function.
ü The trailer is not braked.
