9.25Adjusting the footbrake pedal

– Use the tool to press in the anti-rotation lock , then turn the piston rod .

The range of adjustment is limited.
– Remove the tool.
The spring tension on the anti-rotation lock is released and the hex nut is locked.

– Check the footbrake pedal setting.
Info
Position  of the shift lever can vary considerably, depending on the setting.
9.26Checking for chain dirt
– Check the chain for loose dirt.
» If the chain is very dirty:
– Clean the chain. ( p. 122)
