9.42Checking the rear brake linings
Warning
Danger of accidentsReduced braking caused by worn brake linings.
Have worn brake linings replaced immediately in an authorized KTM-RC8 workshop.
Note
Danger of accidentsReduced braking due to damaged brake discs.
If the brake linings are not changed in time, the steel brake lining carriers grind on the brake disc. The braking effect is greatly
reduced and the brake discs are destroyed.

Check the brake linings for minimum thickness .
Minimum thickness 1 mm ( 0.04 in)
» If the minimum thickness is less than specified:
Change the rear brake linings. x
Check the brake linings for damage and cracking.

If damage or wear is encountered:
Change the rear brake linings. x
