FDIR — MP tray Feed DIRection
Format
FDIR direction;
Parameter
direction:
paper orientation on the MP tray
0 = Lengthwise
1 = Widthwise
Function
The FDIR command specifies the paper orientation during feeding paper on the MP tray.
This is possible when the paper is A4 or letter or B5 size although this depends on the
printing system model.
This command is enabled only when the MP t
ray’s operational mode is cassette or
manual feed. Printing on A4 and letter size paper can only be done widthwise in first
mode.
This command causes a page break.

command is irrelevant to paper cassettes and envelope feeders.
The paper orientation setting is restored to the default orientation (FRPO T8) when the
printing system receives the RES command.
