THE KEYBOARD
When th e CAPS LOCK indi cat or is o ff ,
typing any le tter key alone, i.e. wi thout
hol ding d ow n the "SHIFT" key, wi ll give yo u
a lo wercase letter.
The "TAB" k ey is used by many app li ca ti on
programs (e.g. word-processors) for m ov in g
th e t yp ing pos iti on to th e next "tab-stop"
po s iti on on the screen.
Th e "DELETE" ke y is u sed by man y
application programs for correcting t yp ing
mi s take s. Pr ess ing th e key causes the
cha ra cter at the current typin g po s iti on on
th e sc reen (usually indi ca t ed by a fla s hin g
character called the c ur sor) to be erased.
REMARK: The "TAB" key and "DELETE"
key work properly in some but
not all program s. For in sta nc e,
the built-in BA SIC interpreter
cannot recognize these keys.
