The built-in disk drive is a ssig ned as dri ve 1
of port 6. Any 5.25" drive connected to the
external driv.e connector is assigned as port 6
drive 2, and an y 3.5" dri ves plu gged into th e
external drive connector are ass igned as port
7 dri ves l a nd 2. To ac ti va te , the built-in

the internal disk drive pulls back the di sk
arm to the o ut e rmost track. If an auto -
s tartup program di ske tt e is in se rted in the
driv e and th e dri ve door is c losed, th en the
prog~am wil l be loaded and run
automatically. If yo u have a 3. 5" drive
conne cted to the externa l drive conn ec tor
and the dr i ve co ntain s an "aut o-s tartup" disk,
the "booting" process w ill s tart fr om this
dri ve . Other wise, the "booting" pro cess w ill
normall y sta rt from the built-in disk drive .
