4-24 Description and Operation
• The ultrasonic sensors, they detect walls and obstacles on both sides of the machine along the route.
These are compared to the location of walls in the programmed route.
• Bump points, the machine bumps into a wall to detect where the wall is.
• Gyro, to detect rotation.
• Specific software to execute the programmed routes.
During driving in the barn on a closed floor the vacuum pump is switched on and a vacuum is created,
water is sprayed on the front to soften the manure and make it more liquid. The manure scraper pushes
the liquid manure to a pile in front of the manure inlet. Due to the vacuum the manure is sucked into the
machine.
The water bags in the tank are gradually emptied when the water is sprayed, while the tank is filled with
manure.
On parts in the manure alley with a slatted floor the vacuum pump is switched off and the manure is
pushed through the slats.
Dump, Charge and Fill with water
At the end of the route the machine drives to the dump station. The manure is dumped, the water bags
are filled and the battery is charged. In a combined dump, fill and charge station the dumping, water
filling and charging starts at the same time. After 2 minutes when the water bags are filled, the machine
drives a bit backwards to close the water valve.
The machine is charged until the next route must be driven according to the day planning.
If the water station is separate from the charge station, the machine will not drive backwards in the
charging station after 2 minutes. The machine then drives to the water station at the start of each route.
