Tocreate,add,ordeleteaRAIDarrayusingtheLSISoftwareRAIDConfigurationUtilityprogram,dothe
following:
1.StarttheLSISoftwareRAIDConfigurationUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheLSISoftwareRAID
ConfigurationUtilityprogram”onpage74.
2.Onthemaininterfaceoftheprogram,dooneofthefollowingdependingonyourneeds:
•IfyouwanttocreateaRAIDarray,selectEasyConfiguration,andthenfollowtheinstructionson
thescreen.
•IfyouwanttoaddasecondaryRAIDarray(ifsupportedbyyourserver),selectView/Add
Configuration,andthenfollowtheinstructionsonthescreentoviewthecurrentconfiguration
andaddanewRAIDarray.
•IfyouwanttodeletetheexistingRAIDarray,exittheprogramandbackupallyourdataonthe
harddiskdrives.Afterbackingupallyourdata,entertheprogrammaininterfaceandselectClear
Configuration.SelectYeswhenpromptedandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
Attention:DeletinganexistingRAIDarrayerasesalldataonthearray.Ensurethatyoubackupall
databeforedeletingtheRAIDarray.IftheoperatingsystemisinstalledontheRAIDarrayyouwantto
delete,youneedtoreinstalltheoperatingsystemafterdeletingtheRAIDarray.
•IfyouwanttodeletetheexistingRAIDarrayandcreateanewRAIDarray,exittheprogramandback
upallyourdataontheharddiskdrives.Afterbackingupallyourdata,entertheprogrammain
interfaceandselectNewConfiguration.SelectYeswhenpromptedtoproceed,andthenfollowthe
instructionsonthescreen.
Attention:DeletinganexistingRAIDarrayerasesalldataonthearray.Ensurethatyoubackupall
databeforedeletingtheRAIDarray.IftheoperatingsystemisinstalledontheRAIDarrayyouwantto
delete,youneedtoreinstalltheoperatingsystemafterdeletingtheRAIDarray.
