•Ifyourexternalspeakershaveavolumecontrol,ensurethatthevolumeisnotsettoolow.
•ClickthevolumeiconintheWindowsnotificationareaonthetaskbar.Ensurethatthemutespeakers
settingsarenotselectedandnoneofthevolumesettingsissettoolow.

area.SeetheWindowshelpsystem.
•Somemodelshaveafrontaudiopanelyoucanusetoadjustvolume.Ifyourcomputerhaveafrontaudio
panel,ensurethatthevolumeisnotsettoolow.
•Ensurethatyourexternalspeakers(andheadphones,ifused)areconnectedtothecorrectaudio
connectoronthecomputer.Mostspeakercablesarecolor-codedtomatchtheconnector.
Note:Whenexternal-speakerorheadphonecablesareconnectedtotheaudioconnector,theinternal
speaker,ifpresent,isdisabled.Inmostcases,ifanaudioadapterisinstalledinoneoftheexpansion
slots,theaudiofunctionbuiltintothesystemboardisdisabled.Therefore,youmustusetheaudio
connectorsontheaudioadapter.
•EnsurethattheprogramyouarerunningisdesignedforuseintheMicrosoftWindowsoperatingsystem.
IftheprogramisdesignedtoruninDOS,theprogramdoesnotusetheWindowssoundfeature.The
programmustbeconfiguredtouseSoundBlasterProorSoundBlasteremulation.
•Ensurethattheaudiodevicedriversarecorrectlyinstalled.
