Removingthecomputercover
Attention:DonotopenyourcomputerorattemptanyrepairbeforereadingandunderstandingtheChapter
1“Readthisfirst:Importantsafetyinformation”onpage1.
CAUTION:
Beforeyouopenthecomputercover,turnoffthecomputerandwaitseveralminutesuntilthe
computeriscool.
Toremovethecomputercover,dothefollowing:
1.Removeanymediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.
2.Disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
3.Disconnectthepowercord,Input/Outputcables,andanyothercablesthatareconnectedtothe
computer.See“Frontview”onpage27
and“Rearview”onpage29.
4.Unlockanylockingdevicethatsecuresthecomputercover.See“Attachingapadlock”onpage55.
5.Removethetwoscrewsthatsecurethecomputercover.
6.Pressthecover-releasebuttononthesideofthecomputerandslidethecovertotherearofthe
computertoremovethecover.
