6.  Reboot the system, and press F1 to enter Setup Utility.
7.  Power off the system.
8.  Remove the modules to be reused for a new system or configuration.
A Lenovo optional device that was just installed does not work.
1.  Check the XCC event log for any events associated with the device.
2.  Make sure that the following conditions are met: 
•  The device is installed in the correct port. 
•  The device is designed for the server (see 
https://static.lenovo.com/us/en/serverproven/index.shtml). 
•  You followed the installation instructions that came with the device, and the device is installed 
correctly. 
•  You have not loosened any other installed devices or cables.
•  You updated the configuration information in the Setup utility. Whenever memory or any other device 
is changed, you must update the configuration. 
3.  Reseat the device that you just installed.
4.  Replace the device that you just installed.

Complete the following procedure to solve the problem.
1.  Revert the system to the minimum configuration. See “Specifications” on page 4 for the minimally 
required number of processors and DIMMs.
2.  Restart the system.
•  If the system restarts, add each of the items that you removed one at a time, restarting the system 
each time, until the error occurs. Replace the item for which the error occurs.
•  If the system does not restart, suspect the system board.
